So, what with the holidays, moving, and all those wonderful things one gets up to sometimes, I’ve had very little time for writing.
And there are a few other things I fell down on, too…
For example, next week I’m going to be at SES Chicago. I managed to get my plane ticket squeaked in there…but didn’t get around to calling the hotel until last night — and there aren’t any more rooms.
Whoops.
So…anybody need a roommate? Or know of a good, reasonably close alternative hotel?

Thankfully, Kayak.com came to my rescue: I won’t be AT the Hilton, but I’ll be just down the street: I think I can manage 3 tenths of a mile walk!
Well, I’m on the road this week, so posting may be lighter than usual. You never know when a few extra minutes might pop up, but I’m certainly not betting on it!
For what it’s worth, I’m in Rochester, NY – picking up a storage unit full of the possessions I left here a year ago when I was moving to Vienna. It’s always interesting to be reminded of the stuff you’d forgotten about in visiting a storage unit – but the actual process isn’t exactly my favorite experience.
I’ve made a fuller post at
my other blog, but the gist of it is that I’m going on vacation starting next Wednesday – and I’m also moving. So, although I’d hoped to be able to keep up with posting right until the last minute, I’ve simply run out of available time in the day! So, this blog will be, essentially, on hiatus until approximately the beginning of August.
There’s some possibility of an occasional post, but it’s very unlikely. For three weeks of that time I intend to vacation with a vengeance – and for the next week I’m going to be just too busy!
